What is the Falfield web site?

The aim is to provide a single web site where information about the village can be found. Anything of interest to the village can be included.

Why?

Lots of information about the village is available. If you know where to look. But can you find it when you need it? I want to make this site the first place that people turn to when they want to know about local services, groups and events.

Who is it for?

This site is for everyone in the village. Tell me what you want to say and I’ll help you publish it. Provide me with a link to a web site that you maintain and I'll make sure that people find it.

If you are Club or organisation click here to find out what you need to do.

If you run a business, I could include you in our listing. Click here to find out what you need to do.

If you are looking for something to do, a place to go or just want to find out what's going on; this site will help.

Who is organising it?

James Carpenter maintains the site on a voluntary basis. But my job is only to provide the foundations. The contents must come from the people involved in the village. And that's where you come in. If you run or are a member of an organisation within the village, from a sports group, club or society, through to a business, you should be represented here and we'd like to hear from you.

If you have any time to spare you could help too! Click here to find out how.

What does it cost?

All non profit groups and organisations could have their own web pages, FREE OF CHARGE, whether they have the skills to produce it themselves or not. The only expense incurred at the present time to operate the web site is the annual charge for the domain name (falfield.org.uk) and to eVallis who undertake the hosting of the site. Both these charges are currently covered by business sponsorship.

I don't want to tell you too much about what you should put on your pages, otherwise they won't be yours! However, if you want some advice, including some does and don'ts please click here.
