Where is Falfield?

For those of you not familiar with Falfield we are a small rural village with around 200 houses and a population of approx 500. It is situated on the southern edge of the Berkeley Vale and to the east of the River Severn and the Cotswold's to the east. It is the last parish on the northern boundary of South Gloucestershire.

The nearest town to the village is Thornbury some 5 miles away to the south. The nearest major cities are Bristol, 16 miles to the South and Gloucester 18 miles to the North

The major employer in the village is the Home Office which operates a Women's Prison located within Eastwood Park although the majority of the working population in the village travel to either Gloucester, Bristol or Swindon to work.

The shape of the parish is long in its length and narrow in its width. Both the A38 road and M5 Motorway run through the village from north to south with access on and off of the M5 motorway from the village via junction 14.)
